The FA RESPECT Code of Conduct
Play your part and always observe The FA's RESPECT Code of Conduct for spectators and parents/carers.
I Will
- Remain outside the field of play/training and behind the Designated Spectators' Area (where provided)
- Never engage in, or tolerate offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
- Always respect the match officials and coaches
- Applaud effort and good play as well as success
When Attending Youth Games, I Will Also
- Remember that children play for fun
- Let the coaches do their job and not confuse the players by telling them what to do
- Encourage the players to respect the opposition and match officials
- Never criticise a player for making a mistake — mistakes are part of learning
- Understand that code breaches may result in action by my County FA and The FA
Consequences of Not Following the FA Code
- Issued a verbal warning or asked to leave
- Required to meet with Club committee, league or CFA Welfare Officer
- Obliged to undertake an FA Education Course
- Requested NOT to attend future games, be suspended or have membership removed
- Required to leave the club along with any dependants and issued fines
